"This was fermented as (100%) whole clusters before being matured in French oak (10% new). It's grown on two prime Adelaide Hills vineyards, with a total production of only 233 dozen. It's a pity that there isn't more of it, because the quality is glorious. This is the savoury style of shiraz/syrah, done to perfection. It's so perfumed, so nutty, so fresh with cherry-berried fruit and also so lengthy. It's an intensely peppery wine with gentle chocolate notes drifting through, and it boasts the most insistent-but-integrated tannin. In short, it's a pearler."
