Goyo García Viadero ‘Finca Los Quemados’ Tempranillo - Ribera del Duero, Spain
A beautifully raw, terroir-driven expression from one of Ribera’s most thoughtful growers, ‘Finca Los Quemados’ comes from old, high-altitude vines rooted in sandy, stony soils, giving the wine both lift and tension. It opens with vibrant red and black fruit - cherry, raspberry and plum - layered with balsamic herbs, subtle florals and an earthy, slightly ferrous edge. The palate is fresh and structured rather than opulent, with bright acidity and fine, chalky tannins framing the fruit, delivering energy and precision over weight. Fermented with native yeasts and raised in older oak, then bottled without fining or filtration, it carries a natural, unpolished character that finishes long, savoury and quietly powerful.
Grape Variety: Tempranillo (Tinto Fino)
Style: Red – Medium-bodied, structured, low intervention
Drink Window: 2025 – 2035
Perfect For: Lamb, game, grilled meats, earthy stews, aged cheeses
A soulful, uncompromising low-intervention Ribera - more about purity and place than polish, and all the better for it.
