Producer's notes: 

All the Riesling grapes are hand-harvested, gently pressed whole bunch, and their musts are left overnight to settle naturally, before being racked and fermented with ambient yeasts in old 1,000-liter Fuder casks and a couple of 500-liter Halbfuder. The father-and-son team of Erich and Johannes Weber eschew herbicides and favor low yields—just one short “flat” or non-arched cane (Flachbogen) per vine—to produce an array of dry (trocken), off-dry (feinherb), and fruity Saar Rieslings, which represent mostly cask-by-cask bottlings.

A beautifully balanced, gently off-dry Riesling from one of the Saar’s most beloved traditional estates, Meyer Nepal AP 11 comes from old vines in the steep, slate soils of the Niedermenniger Herrenberg. As always with Falkenstein, the winemaking is refreshingly simple—organic farming, spontaneous fermentation, long aging in old fuder - resulting in a wine of purity, finesse, and unmistakable Saar clarity.

The nose is expressive yet delicate, offering notes of white peach, lime blossom, green apple, and cool smoky slate. On the palate, it strikes a perfect feinherb balance: brisk Saar acidity layered with gentle natural sweetness, creating a gliding, mouthwatering texture. The finish is long, mineral, and quietly complex, capturing both the charm of Kabinett and the depth of this historic vineyard.
