Momento Chenin Blanc–Verdelho - Swartland, South Africa
Producer's Notes:
This hand harvested wine sees malolactic fermentation, with fine lees contact and 10 months in old french oak. Aromas and flavours of ripe golden delicious apple, dried apricot and fresh quince. The palate is concentrated, framed by an energizing, vital acidity and a lasting finish.
What we say:
A beautifully expressive white from Marelise Niemann, one of South Africa’s most talented minimal-intervention winemakers. This Chenin Blanc–Verdelho blend bursts with energy and lift, offering aromas of pear, citrus blossom, yellow apple and a hint of wild herbs. On the palate it’s vibrant and textured, combining Chenin’s natural generosity with Verdelho’s freshness and tension. The finish is long, gently saline and wonderfully pure - classic Swartland clarity with Momento’s signature finesse.
