Philip Lardot “Pinot K” - Pinot Noir, Mosel, Germany
Producer's Notes:
This Pinot Noir is aged in relatively young barrels bought from top domaines in Burgundy. As these barrels are quite young, they are still imparting a mild flavor that enriches the wine. It is juicy and complex at the same time. Unfiltered.
What we say:
An elegant, quietly soulful Pinot Noir from one of the Mosel’s most exciting young winemakers, Pinot K shows Philip Lardot’s talent for crafting wines of precision, purity, and tension—even with a grape not traditionally associated with the region. Farmed from steep, slate-driven vineyards and made with minimal intervention, this is a Pinot Noir that balances finesse with earthy Mosel character.
The nose is lifted and refined, offering aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, red cherry, and rose petal, layered with hints of spice, forest floor, and cool slate minerality. On the palate, Pinot K is light to medium-bodied, silky, and beautifully textured: fine tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, quietly savoury finish that reveals both delicacy and depth.
