Recaredo ‘Intens’ Rosat Brut Nature Corpinnat - Penedès, Spain
A striking, gastronomic rosé Corpinnat that leans firmly into depth and structure over easy charm, ‘Intens’ opens with layered red fruits including pomegranate, redcurrant and wild strawberry - interwoven with Mediterranean herbs, subtle floral notes and a distinctive chalky, mineral edge. There’s a slightly savoury, almost ferrous nuance that gives it real identity, setting it apart from more fruit-driven sparkling rosés.
The palate is dry, precise and quietly powerful, with a fine, integrated mousse and a saline, stony backbone that carries the wine forward. Made primarily from Monastrell with a smaller proportion of Garnacha, it gains its colour from short skin maceration before undergoing traditional method bottle fermentation. Extended ageing (typically 30+ months on lees under natural cork), biodynamic farming and manual disgorgement all contribute to its depth and texture, finishing long, mineral and persistently savoury.
