Razor-sharp, mineral and utterly Mosel in character, this dry Riesling is a pure expression of blue slate (“Blauschiefer”) soils and old, ungrafted vines. It opens with crisp green apple, pear and citrus peel, layered with white peach and a pronounced stony, flinty edge. The palate is taut and electric, driven by mouth-watering acidity and a sleek, light-to-medium body that feels both precise and refreshing. Sourced from steep, slate-rich vineyards around Himmelreich and Palmberg, and made with a hands-off approach, it channels site over winemaking, finishing long, saline and intensely mineral - like “rocks pulverised into liquid form.”
