Perfumed, vibrant and refreshingly modern, Wolf & Woman Pinotage is a world away from the heavy, overtly smoky style that once defined the variety. It opens with bright red and black berries - raspberry, cherry and blackberry - alongside notes of violet, rooibos tea, warm spice and a subtle earthy nuance. The palate is medium-bodied and energetic, with fresh acidity, fine tannins and a silky texture that lets the fruit take centre stage. There’s plenty of character here, but it’s delivered with elegance and restraint rather than weight, finishing fresh, savoury and beautifully balanced.

Made from dry-farmed bush vines in the Swartland, the fruit is harvested by hand and fermented with a gentle, low-intervention approach to preserve freshness and aromatics. Ageing takes place largely in older oak, allowing texture and complexity to develop without masking the vineyard character. The result is a Pinotage that feels distinctly contemporary - lifted, expressive and remarkably food-friendly.
